Hiphopdiningrat is a unique documentary film about the hip-hop culture from Yogyakarta, Central Java, the city where urban culture meets Javanese tradition. Living in such a realm, the Jogja Hip Hop
Foundation’s works appear in such contemporary forms by nature. Jogja Hip Hop Foundation started from gigs without stages and
has moved to international stages. Hiphopdiningrat is a travelogue piece made by the founder of Jogja Hip Hop Foundation, Marzuki
Mohammad a.k.a. Kill The DJ, and from 2003 to 2009, we get to see the true spirit of the Javanese in accepting new culture and
blending it with their roots to make a new and accessible work of art (hip hop music).
